I have been a photographer for over 40 years. Born and raised in Southern California, I shot pictures for three Los Angeles area newspapers. But my real passion was for fine art photography.
I moved to North Carolina in 1983 to pursue a career in publishing, all the while staying active in fine art landscape and scenic photography.
I soon discovered the incredible beauty of North Carolina, ranging in variety from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the fully unique Outer Banks. After all these years, I still stand in awe of North Carolina's varied beauty. I have been a resident of North Carolina ever since.
I have earned the reputation of being a talented fine art landscape / scenic photographer. I am appreciative of that. There are many excellent landscape and scenic photographers and I am happy to be counted among them. I am happy to have gained a reputation as an excellent photographer and digital photo artist.
I have spent years traveling, passionately devoted to capturing and preserving the beauty of nature with my cameras.
The reason I take pictures is not only to personally experience the beauty of nature, but to ensure others can too. Nature - the world around us - is beautiful and something that we should strengthen and preserve.
Fine art landscape and scenic photography can be lonely and peaceful, yet exciting. The experience of seeing the rising sun just breaking the horizon or of raindrops exploding as they fall upon the petals of a delicate flower is inspiring. 
It is something that allows us to leave the hustle and chaos that is modern life behind and return to our roots. It is something that reminds us of who we are and where we came from. It is something we all need to experience on a regular basis.
Through my images I hope others will experienced that, too. I hope others will be inspired to break away once in a while, to breathe the fresh air, to enjoy the beautiful music of silence while sitting on a mountain top, to return to the roots of their existence and renew their spirits. I hope this will also inspire people to understand how important it is to preserve this beautiful earth we all stand on.
